If you find this old set, do not use the nose art for Capt Joe Rogers' P-51D. (Yes, he called them P-51s; not F-51s.) Before Col. Rogers died he passed on to a friend that the nose art in this set, "Is not accurate at all." He generally liked the Tamiya presentation of his aircraft with minor corrections to the paint job. Specifically, the glare panel and canopy frame were black. (There are a couple photos on the internet that show this.) Happy modeling!
